At PCB fabrication stage, MIL STD 55110 has stringent tolerance requirements, catering for military applications. Drill wander on board at drilling stage, for instance, is considerably more tightly controlled. Tight tolerances at the fabrication process result in eliminating marginal boards thereby improved the quality yields. By deploying the MIL STD as a typical environment for board layout, fabrication, and assembly, greater results occur for both reliability and quality yields.
