Design Engineers

NexLogic Technologies is a progressive company serving its customers for the past 14 years. We are looking for PCB Layout engineers. The positions are in the Silicon Valley (San Jose, CA)

Job Description

  • Design of Printed Circuit boards, including digital and analog circuitry.
  • Utilizing Computer-aided design (CAD) software packages Cadence’s Allegro, OrCAD, AutoCAD, SPECCTRA Auto router, Mentor Graphics PADS Power PCB for preparation of PCB’s and simulate them utilizing simulation tools.
  • Schematic Capture, extracting net-list, creating part library, doing placement, routing, verification and support. (Issue resolution, ECO etc.)
  • Create final design deliverables: Fabrication, assembly drawings and DXF files.
  • Use CAD tools: Circuit CAM & Solidworks for SMT programming and 3D modeling.
  • Perform DFM, DFA and DFT per latest IPC standards and/or customer’s specs.
  • Serving as a technical Liaison between the OEM Engineers, other design and manufacturing teams for smooth execution of the project cycle.
  • Work with PCB Fabrication companies and the internal Assembly department on daily basis and resolve ongoing quality issues, answer questions and specify manufacturing criteria.
  • Improvise design and manufacturing processes to improve manufacturing yields.
  • Ensure Compliance with internal quality system as well as outside regulatory bodies such as UL, CS and FDA.
  • Develop an internal best practices procedure for design team derived from IPC, UL and own experience in order to constantly improve design quality.
  • Design and implement test setups for evaluating, characterizing and debugging PCB’s.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • BSEE with 2 years plus experience in mixed-signal, analog and high speed design.
  • Proficiency in Cadence Allegro, Mentor Graphics Pads Power PCB, OrCad and AutoCAD.
  • Require good understanding of datasheet specifications of ADCs & DACs as well as timing characteristics
  • Solid and broad understanding of circuit design and system design is required. You must also possess proficiency with SPICE simulators
  • PCB Failure analysis support, debugging tools knowledge and providing input on new product ideas
    • Good communication and documentation skills

Salary and Compensation:

  • Compensation: Commensurate with experience
